Established in 2017, Guitar Brisbane is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to promote the acoustic and classical guitar in the Brisbane region. Our mission is to create a regular stream of concerts and masterclasses, helping build and foster Brisbane's thriving guitar community.

We pride ourselves on hosting a high quality, and varied lineup of international artists, and homegrown talent throughout the year. Despite our short history; Guitar Brisbane already has showcased a variety of talent from around Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Sweden and Hungary.

Our new venue is the Valmai Pidgeon Performing Arts Centre at Somerville House close to the heart of Brisbane. In this space, audiences have the chance to sit up close and hear some of the worlds leading guitarists and musicians in a beautiful, relaxed environment.

We hope to see you at one of our upcoming concerts.

In 2016 Magda Productions jumped at the opportunity to host a concert with Italian guitar maestro, Adriano del Sal. Adriano was in Australia as a guest of the Melbourne Guitar Foundation, performing and adjudicating at the Melbourne International Guitar Competition. His concert at Magda's was one of three on this whirlwind visit. So we established the Brisbane International Guitar Festival - BIGFest, 2016.

Almost immediately we received requests from guitarists everywhere - literally everywhere! - to come and play. With a growing number of stunning, local guitarists also eager to perform, it became apparent that BIGFest needed a sister organisation. So it is with tremendous pride, we have created an umbrella: GUITARBRISBANE.ORG.
